DomeShelter Australia is proud to be the major sponsor of the 2025 Twelve Mile Feast for Relief. This community-led event is raising funds for the families and communities affected by severe flooding in regional Western Queensland — many of whom are still picking up the pieces.
For us, this cause hits close to home.
We started out in Northam, regional Western Australia — working alongside farmers to deliver shelter solutions built for harsh Australian conditions.
Over the years, we’ve grown into a global business, but our roots are still firmly in the regions. Agriculture is where we came from, and it’s still a key part of who we are and what we do.
One of the key organisers behind the Feast for Relief is Chad Taylor of Mumblebone Merino Stud, a sixth-generation farmer and long-time DomeShelter Australia client. The charity luncheon will be held on Chad’s property, under the very shelter we first designed for him over a decade ago.
So when we were approached by Chad to support the Feast for Relief, we saw it as a chance to give back to the industry that has backed us from day one.
We first met Chad back in 2012
He came to us looking for a shelter solution to cover their on-site saleyards. Their previous setup — a temporary marquee — had collapsed in severe weather during a ram sale, prompting a rethink around safety, reliability, and functionality.
We worked with him to design a post-mounted AgShelter®, the first of several additions over the years that would eventually stretch to 46 metres in length.
What started as a straightforward solution has become a long-standing partnership, built on practicality, trust, and the kind of rapport that only comes from working shoulder-to-shoulder through more than one tough season.
Now, that same Shelter stands tall at the heart of this year’s Feast for Relief, hosting the charity lunch on Chad’s property — a rare and wonderful full circle moment.
