DomeShelter Australia delivers repeat custom-engineered structures for AESA, supporting vehicle storage and operational efficiency across Argentina’s oil and gas sector.
AESA is a leading engineering, construction, and services provider to the oil and gas industry across Argentina. For decades, AESA has delivered complex infrastructure projects in some of the country’s most demanding environments. Their operations demand high-performance, low-maintenance solutions that can be deployed quickly, scaled efficiently, and erected with a far smaller labour force compared to permanent structures.
As a repeat client, AESA values consistency, reliability, and speed — all critical when working across multiple sites with shifting operational timelines. This latest project is AESA’s third deployment of a custom-engineered DomeShelter™ Solution originally delivered in 2019.
The Challenge
AESA required two shelter structures for vehicle bays and equipment storage at their site in Anelo, Neuquén. The shelters needed to be compatible with ISO container mounting, and engineered to meet regional wind speeds of 170km/h and snow loads of 0.9kPa.
Having previously deployed DomeShelter™ Structures at sites in Bahía Blanca and Buenos Aires, AESA specified the same shelter solution for the Anelo site to maintain consistency across operations. Reutilising the design allowed for streamlined procurement, reduced engineering review, and simplified installation — critical advantages for multi-site operations with variable timelines and environmental conditions.

Outcomes
- Consistent Deployment Across Sites
This project marked AESA’s third DomeShelter™ installation, following previous deployments in Bahía Blanca and Buenos Aires. By replicating shelter design across sites, AESA streamlined procurement, engineering review, and on-site assembly. - Region-Specific Compliance
The shelters were engineered to meet the specific environmental conditions of Anelo, Neuquén, including 170 km/h wind speeds and 0.9 kPa snow loads, ensuring regulatory compliance and structural integrity. - Rapid Assembly and Small Labour Force
Compared to traditional permanent structures, DomeShelter™ Solutions require significantly reduced labour involvement and construction time delivering immediate cost and time savings on site. - Operational Functionality
The structures now serve as vehicle bays and storage facilities, with roller doors, PA doors, and integrated guttering systems supporting day-to-day functionality in a remote setting.
